What is Buzzline?
Buzzline is a pilot microtransit program that will provide on-demand transportation within a designated service area.

Microtransit is a technology-enabled transit service to provide pooled on-demand transportation with dynamic routing. ​
Hitting the streets in Sanford/Lee County this fall!

Designated Service Zone
For the pilot period, Buzzline will operate within a primary service zone.
​​
The zone was developed by identifying areas where populations have the most limited transportation access.
​
Large places of employment, the Raleigh Exec Jetport, and the Sanford branch of the DMV have been added due to a proven need for on-demand microtransit service to these areas.

Buzzline Partners
Buzzline is a partnership between the City of Sanford and Lee County, supported by the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Integrated Mobility Division and the Institute for Transportation Research and Education.
​
The pilot program is funded through NCDOT's Mobility for Everyone, Everywhere in NC (MEE NC) Grant and is administered by COLTS Transportation.
​
The initiative is guided by a Microtransit Advisory Board comprised of stakeholders from the local government, education, commercial, and industrial sectors.
