What is Buzzline?
Buzzline is a pilot microtransit program that provides on-demand transportation within a designated service area.
Microtransit is a technology-enabled transit service to provide pooled on-demand transportation with dynamic routing.
Designated Service Zone
For the pilot period, Buzzline will operate within a primary service zone.
The zone was developed by identifying areas where populations have the most limited transportation access.
Large places of employment, the Raleigh Exec Jetport, and the Sanford branch of the DMV have been added due to a proven need for on-demand microtransit service to these areas.

Buzzline Partners
Buzzline is a partnership between the City of Sanford and Lee County, supported by the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Integrated Mobility Division and the Institute for Transportation Research and Education.
The pilot program is funded through NCDOT's Mobility for Everyone, Everywhere in NC (MEE NC) Grant and is administered by COLTS Transportation.
The initiative is guided by a Microtransit Advisory Board comprised of stakeholders from the local government, education, commercial, and industrial sectors.
